DON'T BE A VICTIM OF A SCAM

It's in the news all the time - and it's true. Scams are rampant out there. A little vigilance can go a long way in preventing becoming a victim. If you receive a check in the mail that doesn't look quite right, especially if you weren't expecting it or you've been "hired" to do a job but they are requiring you to make an upfront purchase from the "proceeds" - it is likely a scam. Also, especially this time of year, scammers use the IRS name to trap people. The IRS does not contact taxpayers via e-mail. A little common sense and remembering the old saying - "If it looks too good to be true...it probably is" can go a long way. If you have questions on something that seems suspicious, contact us at 832-201-0190 and we'll do our best to assist you or point you in the right direction. We're here to help!

DEBIT CARD INFORMATION - PIN USAGE NOW REQUIRED AT SOME MERCHANTS FOR YOUR PROTECTION

For an added layer of protection in the prevention of fraud, at some merchants we are now requiring you to use your PIN number for debit card purchases over $100 instead of just allowing a signature. Restaurants and other places such as that where you are accustomed to signing and PIN usage is not an option are not affected. If you need to reset your PIN or have forgotten it, please contact Member Services at 832-201-0190 for assistance.
